Decisions, decisions, decisions...

Aahhh...

UCAS deadline is drawing near and I still haven't come to a decision about which uni I want to go to and the degree I want to study...

On Wednesday I visited Surrey Inst of Art and Design just outside London. I was really keen on the course and the uni...so dragged my sis along to check it out. Well...the location was pretty nice :)...but hmm...no offense to anyone but it was quite a 'white' and upperclass area and if I'm going to spend the next 3 years of my life there...I feel as if I need a diverse mix of cultures/ethnicities...if you get me?? The course was interesting but moreso media based than fine art....so its looks I won't be applying there...

I am however hoping to visit one of the Scottish School's of Art maybe next week to see if a course there will suit be better?

Otherwise looks like I'll be back on the UCAS website...uni hunting again!

Fingers crossed, eh?

Afterwards I travelled back into Londinium with my sister to check out some art exhibitions...the most amazing one being 'After the Wave' - which was a photographic exhibition on the Tsunami. It really kinda affected me in a good way because its so hmm...inspirational how the lives of these ppl were shattered within seconds but they have managed to pick up the pieces and rebuild their lives....it really is ...Wow!

Hmm...so what else has been happening???well Valentines Day was non existent for me..hehe!! I really don't see the point of it..you should treat your loved one with respect and love everyday! (haha...although come to think of it a nice bouquet of exotic flowers would make my day anyday!)haha...

...Art is also not going down too well....Grr..I hate it when I feel like this and I really have to snap outta it..like pronto. My work will suffer so bad and then I'll be in a mess. So I am *fingers crossed* going to plan some art work now and see how I get on with it.

I'll post another blog later!

Peace out,

Sara xxx

I wanna go back to *B*A*R*C*E*L*O*N*A*!!!
Related to country: Spain

Hola!

Barca was absolutely amazing, I loved it sooooo much and it was very very beautiful. There was so much to see and do! I really want to go back now...hehe it was really really great!

Hehe...the journey there didnt start off well as the coach broke down and we haf to wait almost an hour for another but thankfully we made it to check in just on time!

All of the grp stayed in Hotel Expo which was situated to Placa Espanya and near to the Sants-Estacio Metro station. So it was in a pretty good area. We got around to a lot of places considering we were only there for 4 days..

The grp I hung out with got on alright I suppose.... actually kinda felt weird coz I felt that I had to initiate all the convo's plus one wouldnt stop complaining(grr!...about the ppl, weather, smell, walking, being a tourist!lol!)then there was one who didnt talk but was great at getting us to places and the other was jus chilled out...I laugh when I think about it now...but at the time it just felt awkward as I like to admire/observe art in my own time..rather than having 3 ppl following me around like sheep! Also when I was looking around the markets/shops they would all follow....Aaaah! It felt claustrophobic....I mean sometimes I would say right let's go for a wander and I'll meet you back in about an hour and a bit....then I'd get a lil freedom...so yeah I'm kinda glad to be back at home!

You know what...other than that I really had a great time..I'd have to say that Park Guell - Antonio Gaudi's art was WOW...the mosaics were sooooo beautiful and I loved it. Also the Palau De La Musica Catalan was stunning especially the interiors as there aren't many brick walls as they are made of glass. Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to take any photo's.

I liked the fact that we didn't use a map to get around..well not all the time..we relied on the metro to get around and then explored from there. So just by walking around we came across beautifully designed buildings. I wish I had went to the Picass oMuseum though...I don't knw why we didn't go actually....hmmm...ah well maybe another time. The Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona was another spectacular place we visited. The exhibitions were pretty kewl and again just really really intersting and great to see worldwide artists showcasing their work!

I didn't realise how many Parc's there were in Barcelona and they seem so relaxing and chilled. I felt that it was a totally different feeling to going to a park in England.

Typing all these...really makes me wanna go back sooooo much. I do hope to go back..perhaps after university maybe?

Well I best start some art work now...aww...everyone is off this week whilst I'm back to college. But I have been thinking a whole lot and I've got to get my brain back into gear and produce some awesome, new and experiment with my art now!

Catch up soon!

Adios!

Peace, love and hugs,

sara xxx
